Find a car in Germany to bring to Barcelona

It sets out the criteria and work we can undertake; it is not a promise to find a vehicle, achieve a particular price or saving, or meet a specific date.

If you choose to proceed, we can help assess listings and vehicle information supplied from Germany, prepare questions for the seller and organize the steps before purchase. A physical inspection, independent checks, transport, paperwork and any other later service require their own quotation and acceptance. They are not included simply because you requested a search.

Before choosing an engine, emissions label or body style, decide where you will drive: Barcelona city, other metropolitan municipalities or mainly on roads outside the city. If you expect to enter a Low Emission Zone with a foreign registration, check the AMB register and current conditions for that vehicle before arranging transport. Do not assume a German registration or foreign environmental sticker grants access.

Resolve practical questions tied to your exact destination: Can the car be unloaded on your street, or is another accessible location needed? Are there access or space restrictions for a transporter? Who will receive the car and its keys? Do you need it for daily travel from day one? Barcelona city and another metropolitan municipality may call for different delivery plans. We have no local offices in Barcelona; requests for this destination are handled from our Zurich base.

• Agree who receives the vehicle, keys and original documents.

Germany is our main sourcing route. Switzerland is outside the European Union, so a vehicle sourced there may require different border, tax and document checks; we do not treat it as an intra-EU purchase. Routes from Belgium or the Netherlands depend on local availability, the seller and whether that vehicle's documents allow us to assess and plan the transaction. We confirm the feasibility of each case before including it in a proposal.

For a vehicle review, ask the seller for the VIN, available registration documents and their parts, proposed sale contract or invoice, service history, declared mileage, current technical inspection and certificate of conformity (CoC), if available. These are useful documents and evidence to gather, not a list that guarantees registration. Before committing, the parties must verify which originals, translations, technical tests, homologation or inspection, environmental classification and proof of ownership the competent authority requires for that vehicle and buyer.

A document or listing review is not a physical inspection. If you request an inspection, its quotation should state what will be checked, where, by whom and what report you will receive. Limited access to the vehicle, available time or seller-provided information may restrict the review; no inspection guarantees that every defect or the vehicle's future condition will be identified.

Transport is also agreed separately. Depending on availability, the quotation should specify the proposed method, collection and delivery points, who coordinates receipt, and which documents, plates or insurance cover are needed for the chosen method. If driving the vehicle is considered, confirm beforehand that the plates, insurance and legal status cover the route. For truck transport, agree on a location where unloading is possible. We do not guarantee availability, coverage, approval of procedures or delivery dates.

Before any reservation or payment, identify in writing the vehicle's seller and the beneficiary of each payment; check that their details match the transaction and clarify refund or cancellation terms directly with the party receiving the money. The buyer purchases and pays for the car directly to the identified seller.
