Find your car in Germany for delivery to Spain

Germany is the main sourcing route for this service. In the initial consultation, we establish the vehicle you want, your essential requirements and the total budget you wish to consider. We can assess listings you share or prepare an initial search proposal. That proposal does not confirm that a vehicle is still available, that a seller is reliable or that a car meets your expectations; relevant facts must be checked before purchase.

To get started, send the model or vehicle type, priority version and equipment, budget, destination province and approximate address, intended use and preferred purchase date. Include the listing link and, if available, the VIN, seller’s name and contact details, advertised price and vehicle documents. More specific information makes the initial assessment more useful.

After the initial consultation, we share a search proposal or review the listing you sent. If you are interested in a candidate, we request missing information and define the scope, price and terms of any additional work in writing. A physical inspection is not automatically included in the free search: its scope and price are agreed separately, based on the vehicle’s location and the checks that can be arranged.

The seller and payment beneficiary must be identified before any reservation or payment. Check that the beneficiary is the seller or that there is documented, verifiable authorisation to receive the money. You negotiate, buy and pay for the vehicle directly to the identified seller; we do not collect the vehicle price on the buyer’s behalf. Compare the cost of having the car in Spain, not just the listing price. The calculation may depend on the seller’s identity and status, the tax treatment stated on the invoice or contract, the vehicle’s specification and emissions, available documents, transport, and the technical and tax requirements applicable to that specific vehicle. We do not treat unverified items as confirmed or promise that importing will cost less than buying in Spain.

Ask for an itemised estimate separating the vehicle price, transport, paperwork, taxes or fees that need checking, and service fees. Identify which amounts are confirmed and which remain estimates subject to documents, inspection or third-party confirmation. Before reserving, resolve questions that could materially change the budget or prevent registration. The initial consultation is free; physical inspection, transport, document handling and other services are each quoted according to scope.

• Do not assume tax rates or technical costs; verify the individual case.
• Ask the seller to state the transaction’s tax treatment in writing.
• Confirm who will contract and pay for each third-party service.

Before committing, request and review, as applicable to the vehicle: a sales contract or invoice identifying the parties, price and tax treatment; original registration certificates and their parts, if issued in that country; VIN and technical specifications; a Certificate of Conformity (COC) or alternative technical information; evidence of ownership or the seller’s authority to sell; and available service, mileage and inspection history. Also ask about deregistration, export, plates and documents needed for transport, and any lien or restriction on sale that the seller must clarify.

For Spanish registration, the parties must confirm with the DGT, ITV and competent tax authorities which documents are required for that specific vehicle, what approval or technical record is acceptable, and which inspections, taxes, proof of payment or exemption and registration steps apply. The linked DGT page covers vehicles from the EU but does not replace checking an individual file or determine its tax treatment. We do not invent requirements, amounts or rates.

Germany is the main sourcing route covered here. Switzerland is outside the EU and must not be treated as the same route: for a Swiss vehicle, separately verify the applicable customs, tax, document and technical conditions. Sourcing in Belgium or the Netherlands depends on a suitable vehicle, sufficient documentation and local availability for any requested checks or tasks; stock, partners and service availability are not assumed.

Autohaus Zephyr is based in Zurich and has no local offices in Madrid, Barcelona or Valencia. These are remotely served destinations, not local offices or claims of exclusive regional expertise. Before arranging delivery, specify the address and ask what access the transporter needs. In Madrid, confirm that the location can receive the vehicle and during what time window; in Barcelona, check the current access, stopping and unloading conditions for that address; in Valencia, clarify who will receive the car and what delivery window is feasible. Confirm local conditions with the transporter and relevant authorities.
