iCAUR V25: five seats, 41 compartments and factory customisation

The iCAUR V25 was unveiled in Wuhu on 19 October; Chery distributed its dimensions and customisation details on 23 October. The SUV promises five seats, roughly 4.6 metres of length, 41 compartments and more than twenty accessory interfaces. The value depends on usable space and approved configurations, while this communication leaves the European retail offer unspecified.

What matters

A global unveiling does not establish European sales; promised uses need checks against the actual variant.

What iCAUR has presented

The manufacturer places the V25 alongside the V23 and V27. It states five seats, a length of roughly 4.6 metres, a 2,820 mm wheelbase and 41 storage compartments. It also announces towing and external-power capabilities which need checking against each market's retail version. The global presentation does not establish European orders or deliveries. Segment-leading comparisons remain company claims rather than Autohaus test findings.

Useful space is not a compartment count

Numerous compartments can help organise small items without establishing luggage-carrying ability. Shapes, openings, restraints and the space available with every seat occupied matter. An exterior dimension cannot independently prove that a particular child seat or bulky item fits.

Practical evaluation should start with routine tasks. One household might need child-seat access without repeatedly moving a front seat; another might need a pushchair and shopping to fit with five occupants. These are assessment examples, not experiences we have conducted with the V25. They turn a lifestyle proposition into questions that can actually be checked.

More than twenty interfaces for adapting the vehicle

iCAUR announces more than twenty native accessory interfaces, with roof racks, side awnings and bicycle or photography fittings as examples. The event also showed the V25 Game Changer and around twenty customised vehicles from users and partners. That demonstrates the intended ecosystem, rather than a list of accessories included as standard on every version.

The practical distinction is between an attachment point existing and a complete configuration being approved. Each accessory needs checks covering fastening, mass, installation and compatibility. The release publishes no roof-load limits and does not certify every proposed combination. The system’s value will depend on a local catalogue setting out those conditions and warranty responsibilities.

Towing requires the actual combination

A model-level claim cannot replace the individual vehicle's approved specification. Towing involves vehicle and combination masses, loading and installed equipment, alongside the requirements applying to the driver and combination. An international presentation figure should not automatically be assigned to every variant.

Start with the intended load and frequency. Occasional leisure use and continuous work place different demands on range, stability and servicing. The release cannot establish behaviour in those scenarios or replace an appropriate test. Adventurous styling is not proof of off-road capability either.

6 kW of external power is not a runtime

The brand states up to 6 kW of external power and 1.8 tonnes of towing capacity. These are announced capabilities for the presented model, subject to the configuration and documentation offered in each market. We do not adopt its segment-leadership claims as independently established facts because the release provides no complete independent comparison.

An editorial example helps interpret the outlet: a 1 kW appliance running for two hours needs 2 kWh before losses. An outlet capable of delivering 6 kW does not establish how long it can sustain that output or how much battery reserve the car permits it to use. Commercial specifications will need usable energy, protections and limits to assess a particular campsite or task.

What remains before a European purchase

A real transaction would require local specification, conformity documents, warranty terms and an identified offer. Service coverage, parts and destination-market digital functions also need checking. A worldwide launch is a communications event; it does not automatically resolve those territorial layers.

Waiting can make sense if the buyer identifies which evidence would change the decision: a price list, official orders or an independent test of the relevant configuration. Until then, the V25 belongs in a comparison of future propositions. It is not Autohaus stock, and this article does not confirm an available vehicle or import route.

Questions answered

Do 41 compartments necessarily mean more boot space?

No. Organising small items and carrying luggage are different requirements.

Does the source establish Spanish availability?

No. The reviewed communication presents the model globally without establishing a Spanish retail offer.

The V25 proposes an interesting combination of space and adaptation. Its utility needs testing with actual passengers, belongings, accessories and documents. The news is its presentation and attributed figures; the next European milestone is establishing the product and terms that will reach each market.
